It is crashing down on us!
The gun haters’ cabal is worked into a feeding frenzy . . . and like a pack of circling sharks they are poised to tear into our gun rights.
That’s why we must act NOW to protect our Second Amendment rights!
If we don’t meet this cabal of gun haters head on with all our might we are going to lose.
And lose big.
Obama is brazenly committed to banning guns and to universal registration by enforcing private sale back ground checks . . .
And you know that gun registration always precedes gun confiscation!
Biden is heading up the anti-gun task force and shows no signs of flinching . . .
Feinstein’s comprehensive anti-gun bill will make it impossible to buy any meaningful self-defense weapon . . .
The outlook is pretty grim!
This week, New York Mayor Andrew Cuomo announced a deal that he made with his state legislature to tighten the screws on their already draconian gun laws.
Monday night, the New York Senate voted to strengthen their ban on “scary looking” assault weapons and to ban magazines that will hold more than seven rounds.
Yes, you read that right . . .
The state of New York is banning all handgun magazines over seven rounds.
How many of your hand guns hold magazines over seven rounds?
All of them?
And if that’s not enough, they are banning all long gun magazines over five rounds.
The New York House quickly approved the measure Tuesday and Mayor Cuomo wasted no time signing it into law.
From announcement of the gun ban plan . . . to passing both chambers . . . to being signed into law took less than two days!
Think that can’t happen here in good ole’ South Carolina?
The anti-gun cabal is gaining strength here as well.
Anti-gun liberal State Representative Gilliard (D-Charleston) has introduced legislation that creates the definition of “assault weapon” in South Carolina law and then defines how they may be confiscated.
On top of that, State Representatives Limehouse (D-Charleston), McLeod (D-Richland), and State Senator Ford (D-Charleston) have joined Gilliard to try to increase the penalty for crossing any one of the multitude of the gun laws in our state to a $10,000 fine and then they want to make you a felon for doing it.
That means you’d NEVER be able to own a weapon again for the rest of your life!
They are plotting to peel back your right to self-defense just as far as you will let them!
How far will you let them go?
Will you stand by while they ban so called assault weapons . . . ban “high capacity” magazines of seven rounds or more . . . ban your right to keep and bear arms?
There is no compromise when it comes to my right to defend my family!
How about you?
That’s why we must act NOW!
We must become ever vigilant and never tire!
We must shove back against attacks from the gun grabbers with ten times what they are directing against us.
We can’t stay on defense.
We’ve gotta fight to reclaim all of our Second Amendment rights!
That’s the only way we’ll ever win this battle.
That’s where Constitutional Carry comes in.
Constitutional Carry, if passed, will allow you to carry concealed or open without asking for government permission.
That’s what the founders meant when they said our right to keep and bear arms “shall not be infringed”!
If you can own it, you can carry it.
Now, that’s firearms freedom!
That’s what we need in South Carolina!
Constitutional Carry preserves the option to get a permit for carry in other states . . . but it will not be required to carry in South Carolina.
But Senate Judiciary Chairman Larry Martin (R-Pickens) assigned our constitutional carry bill to a tough subcommittee.
The subcommittee has five people on it . . .
Two are pro-gun . . .
* Senator Lee Bright (R-Greenville/Spartanburg)
* Senator Shane Martin (R-Spartanburg)
Two are anti-gun . . .
* Senator Gerald Malloy (D-Darlington)
* Senator Brad Hutto (D-Orangeburg)
And one is luke-warm.
The deciding vote on the subcommittee will be Senator Greg Hembree (R-Horry).
Inside sources in the Senate tell me they doubt Senator Hembree will be very gun friendly.
When I called fellow gun advocates in Horry County, they told me the same thing.
Greg Hembree’s gun rights credentials are questionable at best.
The fact is we just don’t know where he will stand.
He has been asked . . . and he has not yet responded.
You know what that usually means! If he doesn’t want to go on the record, then he’s waiting to see which way the wind is blowing!
I need you to contact Hembree and help him understand how the wind blows for gun rights in South Carolina!
Tell him you want S115, Constitutional Carry, passed out of his subcommittee as is, with no amendments.
We can’t afford for it to be weakened or delayed with amendments.
It needs to pass as it is written.
But what about Larry Martin?
Larry Martin is 100% responsible for the makeup of this subcommittee.
It was his choice!
He wants you to think he is pro-gun because he assigned the bill to subcommittee after hearing from all the Palmetto Gun Rights supporters.
The truth is in the makeup of that subcommittee.
I need you to contact him and tell him you are not fooled!
If he was truly a friend to gun rights, he’d have done a better job on the subcommittee assignments.
Call today and tell him he might want to consider a different subcommittee for S115, Constitutional Carry.
Don’t let him get away with this! And don’t let him think we are fooled!
We must show Larry Martin and Greg Hembree immediately that we are here and that we are not going away.
We won’t be cowed by the anti-gun crowd!
We will push louder and stronger than the gun grabbers . . . times ten.
Don’t delay! Call today!
Share this e-mail with your family and friends and ask them to do the same.
And make sure you sign our constitutional carry petition today by clicking on this link.
The stakes could hardly be any higher. This is going to be one heck of a fight.
Palmetto Gun Rights
P.S. The outlook for gun rights is grim even here in South Carolina. The gun-grabbers are in a feeding frenzy. Right here in South Carolina they are poised to confiscate assault weapons.
Senator Greg Hembree will be the deciding vote on the subcommittee that can kill our Constitutional Carry bill. His reputation for gun rights is questionable at best. Our bill will die if he votes the wrong way. Contact him today at (803) 212-6016 or at GregHembree@scsenate.gov.
And State Senator Larry Martin is responsible for making Hembree the deciding vote. He put Constitutional Carry in that subcommittee. Tell him if he’s a true friend to gun rights, he’ll change the subcommittee assignment. Contact him at LarryMartin@scsenate.gov or at (803) 212-6610.
